Subscription & Connection Help
Find answers by issue, from account details to route troubleshooting. Check your panel status first, then adjust client settings. For order-related issues, open a ticket.
Account & Subscriptions
First, check your account and subscription source, then review your client settings. For the full setup process, see the Getting Started Guide.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my login details?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can easily recognize, set a unique password for CiciVPN, and save it in a trusted password manager. Never post your login details together with your subscription link in a public forum. Before changing browsers or clearing local data, make sure you can still access your username and password. If you can’t log in, check your input method, capitalization and any spaces copied along with your details, then make sure you’re using the right account. If you’re already logged in on a device, keep that session active while you check your account details and orders.
How do I update my subscription link? Do I need to import it into the client again?
Sign in to the user panel and get your current subscription from the account overview. Then open subscription management in your client, find your existing CiciVPN profile and update it. Once the update is complete, check that the route list appears correctly and select the exit route you need. In most cases, update the existing profile instead of adding the same subscription again. If the original link has changed, replace the old address with the current link from the panel. Before replacing it, make sure you’ve selected the right profile so you don’t accidentally delete another service. Your subscription link is an access credential. When troubleshooting, describe the error without posting the full link in a ticket screenshot or on a public page.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
CiciVPN has no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time and supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. You don’t need to choose a new plan just because you’re switching to a new device on one of these platforms. Sign in to your existing account, open the client download section in the user panel, and follow the instructions for your platform to import the subscription. After importing, check that you’re using the right account and profile so you don’t carry over details from an old account. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so keep your plan’s data allowance in mind. Before giving away or retiring an old device, remove any saved account details and subscription profiles.
The subscription imported successfully, but why can’t I see any routes or why is my plan information incorrect?
First, check your account, order status and subscription details in the user panel. Then return to the client and make sure you’re viewing the CiciVPN profile, not another profile you imported earlier. After updating the subscription, check whether the client reports a download failure, an invalid address or a configuration parsing error. If you see an error, save its exact text and check whether your local network can access the panel. Don’t keep creating duplicate profiles to see if one works; that makes it harder to identify the right route later. If the details still don’t match, open a ticket with the relevant order information, your platform and the error message. Don’t include your password or full subscription link.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Compare one change at a time on the same device and with the same service. Keep your original settings and note what changes before and after; this makes the issue easier to pinpoint than repeatedly reinstalling the client.
The client says it’s connected, but webpages still won’t load. What should I check first?
Connected usually describes the client’s connection status; it doesn’t mean every website is reachable. Disconnect, check that your local network is working, then reconnect and confirm that you’ve selected a valid profile and exit route. Next, open a website you can normally access and the site you’re trying to reach. This helps you tell whether the issue affects your network generally or just that service. If only the target site fails, try refreshing the page or restarting your browser, and note the exact error. If all sites are affected, check whether another proxy tool is running and whether your system proxy settings match the client’s current status. Change one setting at a time so you can identify the cause.
Why does my browser work, but a particular app doesn’t use the proxy?
Different apps may use different network connection methods. If your browser works, that only confirms that its current connection path is working; it doesn’t mean other apps use the same proxy settings. Check the client’s rule mode to see whether the app or domain is assigned to the expected route, then check whether the app has its own proxy setting. Some apps need to be closed and reopened to establish a new connection. Before changing the client’s system-level routing settings, read the instructions for your platform and keep a copy of your original configuration. Don’t disable security software outright or copy network commands from untrusted sources.
What should I do if a subscription update fails or the client reports a configuration error?
First, determine whether the error occurred while fetching the subscription or while parsing the configuration afterward. If fetching fails, check your local network, make sure the current link is complete, and see whether the subscription details in the panel have changed. When copying the link, avoid adding line breaks or extra spaces. If parsing fails, check that your client and import method match the panel’s instructions, and use the client download section in the panel to confirm the latest guidance. Don’t edit fields in the subscription yourself or repeatedly overwrite an older profile that still works. When submitting a ticket, include the client name, operating system, exact error text and the step where it occurred. Redact access credentials in the subscription.
My connection keeps dropping. What information should I gather before submitting a ticket?
Note whether disconnections happen after your device goes to sleep, you switch networks, open a particular app or change routes. Record the network conditions at the time. Try another route on the same device for comparison, then, if possible, test on a different local network. This can help narrow down whether the issue is with the device, access network or exit route. In your ticket, include your operating system, client, route name, approximate time of the issue, steps to reproduce it and the error message. Redact sensitive account details in screenshots. CiciVPN doesn’t keep logs, so a clear description of what you observed locally is important. There’s no need to upload personal browsing details unrelated to troubleshooting.
Speed & Routes
Choose a region based on the target service, then compare connection paths. See route coverage on the Global Nodes page. For more on AI use cases, read the Complete AI Guide.
If things slow down during peak hours, should I switch regions or route types?
Keep the target service the same and pause background downloads and other network-heavy tasks. Then compare different routes in the same region. This makes it easier to tell whether the difference comes from the route or the service itself. If none of the routes in that region work well, try another suitable region and check the target service’s regional requirements. IEPL, relay and direct routes describe different connection paths; the name alone doesn’t determine how well one will work. Peak-hour performance can also be affected by your local access network, Wi-Fi signal and the target platform’s load. Change one factor at a time, record the results, then decide whether to switch to a different route for regular use.
What’s the difference between IEPL, relay and direct routes, and how do I choose?
These labels distinguish different cross-border connection paths. IEPL refers to a dedicated link, a relay route connects to an exit through an intermediate node, and a direct route uses a more direct connection path. Available options are shown in the panel and client. Before choosing a route, check which region the target service requires, then compare how the different paths to that region work in practice. A nearby location won’t necessarily suit every access network, and a route name doesn’t guarantee a particular result for every app. Check page response times, uninterrupted playback and whether long-lived connections drop. Once you find a route that works for your needs, stick with it rather than switching frequently during a task.
Which regions do the routes cover? Does choosing the right region guarantee access to a platform?
CiciVPN covers 110+ countries / 250+ routes. For currently available exit locations, check the lists in the panel and client. Before choosing a region, check the target platform’s service coverage, account region and usage rules, then select the appropriate exit. An exit in a particular location doesn’t mean the platform offers the same content to every account. The platform may also consider account details, payment region and its own risk checks when deciding what’s available. If you see a regional notice, check your current profile and exit, then reconnect the app. Don’t keep signing in from different regions to clear the notice. For questions about account eligibility, refer to the platform’s official guidance.
How can I tell what’s causing lower video quality or an AI response that stops midway?
First, work out whether the issue is a change in your network connection or a notice about the target service’s content, account or usage limits. Video quality may adjust automatically based on available bandwidth and the player’s settings. Streaming AI responses need a continuous connection, and switching the page to the background or putting the device to sleep can interrupt what’s displayed. Keep the same exit, pause other network activity and try again. Check whether the app shows a specific error. If you need to change routes, wait until playback or the current request finishes; don’t switch repeatedly while a response is being generated. A network route can’t replace account permissions or remove a platform’s service restrictions. For requests with usage charges, check whether the request has already completed before retrying.
Billing & Refunds
Check the Plans page for pricing and data rules. For refund eligibility and processing rules, read the Terms of Service.
How much do monthly subscriptions and data bundles cost? When does data reset?
Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Data bundles: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They’re valid until used and never expire. Before choosing, consider whether your usage is ongoing: a monthly subscription suits data use planned month by month, while a data bundle suits those who want to use their remaining data over time. The reset rules differ. A data bundle isn’t topped up monthly, and a monthly subscription doesn’t reset at the end of the calendar month. Check your remaining data and account status in the user panel.
Which payment methods are supported? What should I do if my order status doesn’t change after payment?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Start checkout from your order in the user panel and follow the information shown on the current checkout page. Once you’ve paid, return to the panel to check your order status. If it hasn’t changed yet, first make sure the account, order and payment record match. Don’t make repeated payments just because the page hasn’t updated. Refresh the order page to check again. If the issue persists, submit a ticket with the relevant order details and proof of payment. Redact unrelated personal information in screenshots. Don’t share payment details in public forums or proceed using payment information from pages outside the panel.
Can I upgrade partway through if I run out of data? How is the price difference handled?
You can upgrade a monthly subscription partway through, with the price difference converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check your current plan, remaining usage and the confirmation details on the upgrade page in the user panel. Don’t calculate the result yourself based on a calendar month or a full subscription period, and don’t assume an upgrade adds extra data. Data bundles remain valid until used and never expire, so they’re handled differently from monthly subscriptions. For the changes currently available for your account, refer to the panel. If the confirmation details don’t match your expectations, stop and submit a ticket with your current plan and the plan you want. Continue after the details have been checked.
How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?
CiciVPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open a ticket, explain that you’re requesting a refund and provide the relevant order details. See the Terms of Service for eligibility and processing rules. You don’t need to complete extensive network troubleshooting before requesting a refund. Don’t send your account password or full subscription link to explain the issue. Keep a record of your ticket and provide any requested information in the same thread rather than splitting it across multiple conversations. Processing and payment arrival times depend on the actual handling and payment channel; this page makes no additional promise about when funds will arrive.
